2What is ISMT?
- Information System Management Tool
- Track software problems, resolutions, and new

3Components and Interaction
- ISMT is made up of several components
- Problem Tracking System Track problems,
requirements, solutions, and versions of your
data system. - Action Item Tracking System Create/track action
items related to your data system. - Requirements Management Oversight Track CSRD
documents for requirements. Creates BCRs in
affected DSDs PTS accounts for single point
traceability. - Ad Hoc Routing Function Route PTS/AITS/RMO
items to individuals for specific attention. - Hierarchical Documentation Management System
Store/distribute documents related to PTS, AITS,
RMO, versions of your data system.
4The Personal Work Center
- Main start up screen containing submenus and all
links users will need. - Submenus for
- Personal Options Password changes, account
information, custom queries and reports. - Help References Help files, support center,
manuals. - Calendar
- Requirements Management Main menu for
RMO/CSRDs. - System Composites Main menu for multi DSD
composite views. - Personal Action Items Lists action items
assigned to or created by user. - Workbasket Lists items routed to or by user
with links to item details. - Systems Main menu for PTS. Displays PTS menu
for each DSD user has access to.

6PTS Overview
- Tracks problems/requirements for a specific DSD
- Handles all report types except CSRDs and Action
Items - Customizable process allows each data system to
optimize PTS for their business rules - Custom Fields allow each data system to tailor
reports for their needs - Provides custom reporting capabilities
- Search engine allows users to create lists of
reports based on their own criteria. Queries can
then be stored for future use - Security groups/roles allow users to enter/edit
only what the DSD Admin wants them to

- Displays PTS issues in matrix by status
code/severity with totals columns. - Matrix filterable by report type and/or stored
queries. - Click on hyperlinked numbers to view issue

- Only allows monitor of an action item to close

to provide a total cost estimate - Provides single point traceability by displaying
