Title: 2 Timothy 3:1011

1
  • 2 Timothy 310-11
  • But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of
    life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity,
    patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came
unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra what
persecutions I endured but out of them all the
    Lord delivered me.

2
  • 2 Timothy 46-8
  • I am already being poured out as a drink
offering, and the time of my departure is at
hand. I have fought the good fight, I have
finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me
only but also to all who have loved His
    appearing.

3
I Want to Say
  • I have fought the good fight
  • We must be ready to fight or forfeit
    1 Tim. 612
  • Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on
    eternal life.

4
I Want to Say
  • I have fought the good fight
  • We must be ready to fight or forfeit
    2 Tim.23-4
  • You therefore must endure hardship as a good
soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in
warfare entangles himself with the affairs of
this life, that he may please him who enlisted
    him as a soldier.

5
I Want to Say
  • I have fought the good fight
  • We must be ready to fight or forfeit
    1 Tim. 612, 2 Tim.23-4
  • Paul fought
  • In Philippi Phil. 127-30, Acts 1616-34

6
  • Philippians 127-30
  • Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel
of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or
am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you
stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving
together for the faith of the gospel, and not in
any way terrified by your adversaries, which is
to them a proof of perdition, but to you of
salvation, and that from God. For to you it has
been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to
believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
having the same conflict which you saw in me and
    now hear is in me.

  • In Thessalonica 1 Thess. 21-2, Acts 171-9

8
  • 1 Thessalonians 21-2
  • For you yourselves know, brethren, that our
coming to you was not in vain. But even after we
had suffered before and were spitefully treated
at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God
to speak to you the gospel of God in much
    conflict.

  • Fighting is not easy, but its possible
    Plil. 413, 2 Cor. 1124-28
  • I can do all things through Christ who
    strengthens me.

  • Put on the whole armor of God
    Eph. 610-17
  • Have I been fighting the good fight?

11
I Want to Say
  • I have finished the course
  • Christianity is a race Heb. 121-2
  • Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by
so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside
every weight, and the sin which so easily
ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the
race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus,
the author and finisher of our faith, who for the
joy that was set before Him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and has sat down at the
right hand of the throne of God.

12
I Want to Say
  • I have finished the course
  • Christianity is a race Heb. 121-2
  • Those who are disciplined will receive it 1
    Cor. 924, 26
  • Do you not know that those who run in a race
all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such
a way that you may obtain it. Therefore I run
    thus not with uncertainty.

13
I Want to Say
  • I have finished the course
  • Christianity is a race Heb. 121-2
  • Those who are disciplined will receive it 1
    Cor. 924, 26
  • Quitting is not acceptable Luke 962
  • But Jesus said to him, No one, having put his
hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for
    the kingdom of God.

  • Quitting is not acceptable
    Luke 1428-29
  • For which of you, intending to build a tower,
does not sit down first and count the cost,
whether he has enough to finish it lest, after he
has laid the foundation, and is not able to
finish, all who see it begin to mock him.

16
  • Philippians 312-14
  • Not that I have already attained, or am already
perfected but I press on, that I may lay hold of
that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of
me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have
apprehended but one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind and reaching forward to
those things which are ahead, I press toward the
goal for the prize of the upward call of God in
    Christ Jesus.

  • Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to
you concerning our common salvation, I found it
necessary to write to you exhorting you to
contend earnestly for the faith which was once
for all delivered to the saints.

Scripture is of any private interpretation, for
prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy
men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy
    Spirit.

    knowledge.

have heard from me, in faith and love which are
in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was
committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who
    dwells in us.

26
  • 1 Timothy 413-16
  • Till I come, give attention to reading, to
exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift
that is in you, which was given to you by
prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the
eldership. Meditate on these things give
yourself entirely to them, that your progress may
be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to
the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this
you will save both yourself and those who hear
    you.

28
I Want to Say
  • There is laid up for me the crown
  • Christians should be confident Heb 1022
  • Let us draw near with a true heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled
from an evil conscience and our bodies washed
    with pure water.

29
I Want to Say
  • There is laid up for me the crown
  • Christians should be confident
    1 John 228
  • And now, little children, abide in Him, that
when He appears, we may have confidence and not
be ashamed before Him at His coming.

30
I Want to Say
  • There is laid up for me the crown
  • Christians should be confident
    1 John 319, 21
  • And by this we know that we are of the truth,
and shall assure our hearts before Him. Beloved,
if our heart does not condemn us, we have
    confidence toward God.

31
I Want to Say
  • There is laid up for me the crown
  • Christians should be confident Heb 1022 1 John
    228, 319, 21
  • We were not saved to have doubts
    Rom. 81, 31-32
  • There is therefore now no condemnation to those
who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk
according to the flesh, but according to the
    Spirit.

32
I Want to Say
  • There is laid up for me the crown
  • Christians should be confident Heb 1022 1 John
    228, 319, 21
  • We were not saved to have doubts
    Rom. 81, 31-32
  • What then shall we say to these things? If God
is for us, who can be against us? He who did not
spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us
all, how shall He not with Him also freely give
    us all things?

    Rom. 81, 31-32
  • By Gods grace we have been saved 1
    Tim.112-15

34
  • 1 Timothy 112-15
  • And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has
enabled me, because He counted me faithful,
putting me into the ministry, although I was
formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an
insolent man but I obtained mercy because I did
it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our
Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and
love which are in Christ Jesus. This is a
faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save
sinners, of whom I am chief.

35
I Want to Say

    228, 319, 21
  • Not boasting or feel worthy Rom. 81, 31-32
  • By Gods grace we have been saved 1
    Tim.112-15
  • We know our condition
  • Am I going to receive the crown of righteousness

36
  • If we are
  • Fighting the good fight
  • Running the race
  • Keeping the faith
  • Then we will receive the crown of righteousness
    on that day.
