Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a life
time
3
During Hahnemanns time
  • Only 100 Medicine
  • Now more than 4000
  • Then how we can match disease symptom with drug
    symptoms

4
  • True- Some men do some good works without
    repertory.
  • They also do more poor work, than they would do
    with it.
  • - Dr.J.T.Kent

5
Tips on Repertorisation
  • Mental generals
  • 1. Causative emotional modalities
    2. Qualified mental
  • Physical generals
  • 1.Sex
  • 2.Menses Leucorrhoea
  • Particulars
  • 1.Complete particulars

6
Avoid
  • Common symptoms
  • - rubrics with many medicines
  • - common symptoms of many diseases
  • Rubrics with minimum number of medicines (less
    than 5)
  • 2 or more rubrics from the same sphere or chapter
  • Routine rubrics

7
Take
  • Rubrics with moderate number of medicines
  • Moderate number of rubrics (below 10)
  • Remaining rubrics as PDF
  • Fixed confirmed particulars have more value
    than assumed generals
  • Surgically treated symptoms in the PH as
    presenting complaint
  • Combined repertorisation is the best

Basic Requirement best Result
  • Case taking should be perfect
  • If you neglect making a careful case taking. The
patient will be the 1st sufferer, but in the end
you yourself will suffer from it .. and
    Homeopathy also

10
Best RR
  • Minimum number of competing medicines
  • Related medicines
    - Inimical, Antidotes,Compliments
  • One among the medicines should cover all or
almost all the rubrics including PDF
  • Many rubrics with almost similar coverage results
    from repertorisation of common symptoms
    Eg.12/4,12/4,12/4,11/4

11
Empty your cup. A full cup cannot accept
anything more. Similarly, a person who believes
that he had learnt a lot cannot learn anything
else will stagnate quickly and not move to
higher levels. Even the teachers have teachers.
12
Acute diseases
  • Easy to get full picture
  • Require only few questioning
  • Any known causative factor
  • Physical examinations, lab findings
  • Diagnosis for mgt. diet
  • Consider only the acute totality

13
Etiology
  • Cervical pain from over lifting
  • - false
    position from sleep
  • Back pain from LSCS
  • Urticaria from meat
  • Lumbago after injury Agaricus
  • Cough after Chicken pox

14
  • Vaccination after
  • Impure water
  • Consanguineous relations
  • Ankle sprain
  • Fever in winter
  • Coryza after getting wet
  • Spoiled Fever
  • Injury to eye

15
  • Become your spouses
  • number one supporter,
  • the one who is always
  • supporting and fueling
  • hopes and dreams.
  • Develop together and
  • march confidently
  • through the world as
  • an army of two.

16
  • Post operative pain
  • After burns
  • Ulceration after burns-
  • Weakness after fever-
  • After prolonged fever
  • To improve health after TB
  • Eruption fails in chicken pox
  • Cough after Haj

17
Physical Examination
  • Renal Colic
  • Appendicitis
  • Dysuria

18
Prescribing on lab reports
  • Renal stone
  • Cast
  • Blood
  • Albumin
  • ESR
  • Pus in urine
  • Bile salts Specific gravity
  • Crystals Acetone

19
Attitude determines your altitudeA small change
in attitude makes big difference
20
Diagnosis

32
  • The proper use of repertory will lead to correct
off hand prescribing with in 10-20 years.
  • Mechanical use of repertory never leads to
artistic prescribing nor to remarkable results

  • Homeopathic practitioner does not try to fit the
    patient to a particular remedy.
  • But seeks first to clearly understand the patient
and then to find appropriate remedy through
    repertorisation and materia medica.

  • - Dr.Rajan
    Sankaran

39
People will not believe in what you say, but
believes in what you do
40
Important Principles of Miasmatic Prescribing
  • When not to address the miasm In incurable
diseases such as terminal diabetes or cancer,
addressing the chronic miasm could weaken the
Vital Force. Do not base the selection of the
remedy in these cases on miasmatic symptoms, but
    rather palliate
  • The acute exacerbations of the miasms treat
the acute symptoms with the indicated remedy
(without regard to its miasmatic properties) and
then when the acute condition subsides, treat the
    miasm to prevent recurrence
  • Only one miasm is active Curing is relatively
easy when there is a single active miasm, and
much more difficult when mixed miasms are
present. In this case one is usually active,
    holding the other one latent

41
Synthesis
  • Retarded child
  • Adenoids
  • Ground itch
  • OA

42
  • Homeopathic medicines are not curing, but the
vital force. The work of homeopathic single dose
administered is only to stimulate the immune
reaction that proceeds towards cure. Dr.Prafull
    Vijayakar

43
  • Give something to Homeopathy, Homeopathy will
    give you much more
  • - Caroll Dunham

44
In Acutes
  • Give single medicine
  • Avoid over dosage
  • Avoid unnecessary repetition
  • Avoid changing medicines
  • Avoid specifics / routines

45
Repetition 247
  • It is impractical to repeat the same unchanged
dose of a remedy once The vital principle does
not accept such unchanged doses without
resistance because the former dose already
accomplished the expected change in the vital
principle and a second dynamically similar,
unchanged dose of the same medicine no longer
finds the same condition of the vital force
hence no step towards cure can follow

46
  • Before Bry 200 After Bry 200 1d

47
Effects of vaccination 56 Footnote
  • Universal vaccination put an end to all epidemics
of that deadly fearful smallpox to such an extend
that the present generation does no longer posses
a clear conception of the former frightful small
pox plague.... In this way we can enlarge our
    stock of homeopathic medicine..

48
  • A bend in the road is not an end of the road
  • If we make a successful turn

49
Easy way to success
  • Hard work
  • Sincerity
  • Perfection

50
Conclusion
  • Homeopathy is highly effective in acutes and
    chronics
  • Repertory An unavoidable, user-friendly tool
    in homeopathy
  • Homeopathic Medicines along with accessory
    management offers excellent and remarkable
    results
  • Frequent change of remedy and unnecessary
    repetitions may spoil the acutes

51
  • We must have good Vision, Loyalty and Dedication
