    Faculty Senate, ASM.
  • Subject to UW Board of Regents, UW System
    President, UW Madison Chancellor.
  • Academic Staff Assembly
  • 106 districts with 35-75 members.
  • Districts grouped by position titles.
  • Two year terms, no term limits.

Assembly Representatives Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in Assembly meetings.
  • Communicate with your district.
  • Work with ASEC.
  • Increase involvement in governance.

Attend and Participate in Assembly Meetings
  • 2rd Monday of each month 330-500.
  • Assembly packet sent one week before meeting.
  • Typical meeting
  • Hand in registration form to Julie.
  • Pick up your pink card, additional materials, and
    sustenance.
  • Know the players
  • ASEC.
  • Assembly members. (p. 11-17 in Handbook)
  • Secretary and Parliamentarian.
  • Presiding officer.

  • From Assembly membership.
  • Report from Provost or designee.

Communicate with Your Assembly District
  • Introduce yourself to Assembly members
  • Who are your constituents?

  • Inform them of Assembly agenda items.
  • Request business items for the Assembly.
  • Help members of your district become involved in
    governance.
  • Find your alternate.
  • Secretary of the Academic Staff will provide you
    with email list for members of your district.
  • Havent received? Check your junk mail.
