Case Studies
  • 1. Rick is a new student at Ohio State. He just
    found out that he failed his Psych 100 midterm.
    Hes carrying 14 hours this quarter, and hes
    getting a lot of financial aid (hes not sure
    whathis mom is keeping track of it for him).
    Hes afraid he might fail the course. What
    should Rick do about his situation? Outline an
    action plan for Rick to follow to find out what
    his options are.
  • 2. Its the week after finals, and grades should
    be posted by now. Mandy looked hers up online
    and saw her grades for everything except CSE 201,
    the course she really wanted to know her grade
    for. What should she do?
  • 3. Tom is still a freshman at Ohio State, having
    completed 35 hours, including credits from Math
    151, in which he received a D. Taking
    advantage of Freshman Forgiveness, he retook Math
    151 hoping to improve his CPHR. Unfortunately, he
    got a "D" the second time around. How many
    points has Tom earned for Math 151 that will be
    included in his CPHR? Does Tom have to repeat
    Math 151 again? Why or why not? Is Tom eligible
    for another chance to use Freshman Forgiveness on
    Math 151?
