• Objective
• SIOE aims to provide an informal atmosphere for
  the discussion of research in semiconductor opto-
• electronics.
• Contributions are invited on the following
  indicative topics
• 1.  Growth and fabrication including quantum
  well/ wire/dash and dot materials and devices.
• 2.  Mid-infra-red semiconductor opto-electronics.
• 3.  Micro-cavity and photonic bandgap effects in
  semiconductor optoelectronic devices. 
• 4. Semiconductor lasers and optical sources
  including organic LEDS and lasers
• 5. Semiconductor-based THz sources , sensors
  and detectors
• 6.  Theory and numerical simulations of
  semiconductor optoelectronic devices
• 7.  Optical detectors, modulators amplifiers and
  switches .
• 9.  All-optical and opto-electronic integrated
  circuits.
• 10. Semiconductor spintronics.
• Contributions are sought in the form of oral
  papers (15 minutes including discussion) and
  poster papers.
• Abstracts (1A4 page in a form suitable for direct
  reproduction) should be sent by 1 February 2010
