Whats in it for you?

• ELISA is about improving access to IS for SMEs
  improving the overall competitiveness of the SEE
  area
• ELISA is utilizing-valorizing the SEEREN and
  SEEREN2 infrastructures and human network
• Possible external partnerships inside the CADSES
  area (Ro, Hu, BH?) in order to expand the
  training actions to more countries
• Keep the ELISA concept in mind for possible
  applications for technical staff tele-education
• Keep the ELISA concept in mind for future
  opportunities (new calls, other funding sources)

ELISA aims

• at improving the access to knowledge and the
  Information Society within SMEs in SEE (with
  emphasis on rural and remote areas),
• by implementing training policy measures
  cooperatively among academic networks, SME
  representative organizations and the Public
  Sector,
• leveraging the SEEREN infrastructure and the
  GOONLINE experience.

ELISA actions

• The overall objective will be achieved through
  the following actions
• Design, development and Implementation of a
  multilingual, highly-interactive and easy-to-use
  e-learning platform.
• Creation of a customizable multilingual core
  training material for SME IT skill development.
• Certify a number of SME tutors in each
  beneficiary country (lessons by tele-education
  from Berlin and Athens, making use of the high
  speed infrastructure created in this area)
• Pilot implementation of SME IT training actions
  in the NREN tele-classes,
• Diffusion of acquired know-how to competent
  organization and SME Networks
• Design of customised SME IT training strategies
  for SMEs and diffuse it to Policy Makers in each
  beneficiary country
• Raising general awareness on the benefits of the
  business use of ICT.

GRNET-Parts in ELISA

• GRNETs role is to
• Coordinate the administrative, financial and
  communication management
• Lead the effort for the collection, adaptation
  and finalisation of the training material used
  for tutors and SMEs(WP3)
• Ensure the materialisation of the training
  actions of tutors (tele-education) and SMEs (WP4)
• Establish and operate the web portal of the
  project (WP5)
• Organize the Policy Makers Workshops (WP6)
• Overview the whole project and report progress to
  the Interreg Authorities
