Displaying Internet Message on a TV

• Objective
• To display messages from a Home Ethernet or the
  Internet on a TV
• Why?
• The home owner will be able to know automatically
  what happens around the house
• Messages could also provide information from
  sources on the net such as sports results,
  weather forecasts, stock prices, etc the moment
  they are posted on the Internet
• Method
• We use a Rabbit RCM3000 Embedded Development Kit
  to receive messages via an Ethernet connection
• Commands are sent to STV5730 On-screen display
  chip via 3-wire connection
• STV5730 inserts text messages into video stream
  to which a TV is connected
• Hardware
