opportunities, etc. - Test questions will be drawn from class
discussions as well as the text. - Available lecture guides are not complete - not
even close!
12Grading
- Four objective tests
- Must take with our class on given dates
- TAKE NOTE OF FINAL EXAM DO NOT SCHEDULE
CONFLICTING EVENT!!
13Make-up Policy
- If miss any one of the first three exams, then
required to take a COMPREHENSIVE MAKE-UP - Must take immediately following fourth and final
exam and both must be completed in the allotted
final exam time (see syllabus) - Comprehensive make-up exam grade becomes your
grade for the missed test - Comprehensive make-up NOT available to improve an
existing exam score.
14Make-up Policy
- Comprehensive make-up substitutes for only one
missed exam 1, 2 or 3 - Zero assigned if miss more than one of exams 1, 2
or 3 (REALLY!) - You may not miss the fourth (FINAL) exam - it is
required of all students - FINAL GRADES ARE FINAL UNLESS WE MAKE A
COMPUTING ERROR.

- Read materials before class
- Assigned articles/cases
- Text chapters
- Seek assistance outside of class before your
situation is too bad - Read the business news!

- The grading scale will be at least
- A range 90 - 100
- B range 80 - 89.9
- C range 70 - 79.9
- D range 60 - 69.9
- F lt 60
- plus/minus system used
NOTE There may be some sort of scale - so
that is why we say here at least.
17Some Critical Points to Remember
- Many students will earn As and Bs.
- There will likely be a grade distribution
something like this. - A range 12.5
- B range 30
- C range 35
- D range 15
- F 7.5
- Performance is rewarded and is generally strongly
related to intensity of your efforts - Please be proactive and seek assistance if you
are getting into trouble.
75 to 80 usually earn a C- or better 20 to 25
do not earn a C- or better
