INTIMACY

• It is what it all comes down to really - the
  essence of everything. When you strip off all
  the surrounding distractions, attractions,
  affections, attentions - you are left with this
  very core issue. It is your relationship with
  God. Thats all. Everything else ties into it,
  spawns from it, whirls around it, finds roots in
  it.

IT IS WHY WE WERE CREATED

• Humans all need to find their ultimate purpose.
• Without God, there is no meaning to life.
• We were created to commune with God

IT IS WHY WE WERE CREATED

• Some people are uncomfortable with a high level
  of closeness with God
• God wants us to seek Him, to know Him, and to be
  close with Him

IT IS WHY JESUS CAME

• People always want to see a miracle or sign, but
  miss the reasons for them
• Our commitment to Christ is based on what He can
  offer.
• Jesus was trying to tell us He is the answer
• He is what we should be seeking.

IT DICTATES HOW WE SHOULD IVE

• Jesus asked His disciples Do you want to go away
  as well?
• He asks us the same thing
• This abandonment may not be complete, but
  situational.
• Christ wants us to have abundant life, but that
  has a different definition than we may think.

IT DICTATES HOW WE SHOULD IVE

• It means that he will provide for us and love us
• Lord, to whom shall we go? was Peters
  response. He knew Jesus was all that really
  mattered
• Job said that even if God killed Him, he would
  still trust Him.

IT DICTATES HOW WE SHOULD IVE

• Jesus promises that if we give up families and
  homes for His sake, we will receive more - either
  now or in Heaven.

IT IS OUR ONLY HOPE OF RESCUE

• The POOR Bankrupt in spirit, struggling to
  survive
• The BROKENHEARTED Victims of rejection, neglect,
  abuse, abandonment, gossip
• THE CAPTIVES Trapped by sin and death
• THE PRISONERS Addicted to their mistakes,
  imprisoned by their choices.

IT IS OUR ONLY HOPE OF RESCUE

• The Good News IS God - the very things we lost at
  the Fall is what we need to be redeemed and freed

IT IS FOR ETERNITY

• The whole point of Heaven is to know God
• Heaven is when we get to experience true intimacy
• We need to realize His Kingdom is the true goal
• We are to be like expectant brides, waiting for
  God
