• Tier One Enrichment
• Tier Two Independent Study
• Tier Three Resource Room

Tier One - Enrichment

• Choice of Encore subject they miss either FCS
  or TECH Ed
• One half of one marking period.
• Attend enrichment EVERY day during the Encore
  time.
• Students will not be graded on nor are they
  responsible for missing work.

Enrichment continued

• Topics may include but are not limited to the
  following
• mathematics and sciences
• problem solving in the real world
• architecture and engineering
• creative writing and fine arts
• careers and colleges course planning and SAT
  prep
• social skills and organizational help

Tier Two Independent Study (IS)

• Students participate in IS in lieu of social
  studies.
• One half of one marking period aprox. 4.5 weeks
• Requirements of IS are tracked by student and
  teacher using a checklist type of rubric.

Tier 3 Resource Room

• Room 612 is available to USA students on most
  days during homeroom, and 11th period.
• Students may work on their own homework, read, or
  work on USA topics. We have game days and group
  activities monthly.
• Organizational help provided at this time.

Evaluation

• Journaling
• Students make a plan and follow it through
  tracking progress daily
• Students self-evaluate daily and at the end of
  the project
• Students record new vocabulary, ideas, thoughts,
  and plans
