- Changes in War Fighters needs often require
critical items to be delivered ahead of original
schedule - DCMA works with contractors to expedite the
delivery of critical items - DCMA handles over 2,500 of these Contract
Expedite Requests each Month
11Example DCMA Support - Expedite
- U. S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command
requested assistance in urgent requirement to
deliver 132 HMMWV vehicles - DCMA provided personnel to perform in-plant
inspection and acceptance - DCMA arranged for clearance and routing for the
132 vehicles from AM General plant to port at
Charleston, S.C. for delivery to Kuwait

- DCMA received urgent request to support expedite
of over 18,000 Thermal Identification Panels - Required DCMA to conduct Production capability
assessments at several locations - Assisted prime contractor in obtaining
accelerated delivery of key parts from
sub-contractors

- Testing revealed possible quality problems with
Interceptor Outer Tactical Vests - Critical item used by Army and Marine Corp
- DCMA worked closely with contractors, buying
commands and technical authorities to resolve
testing issues - DCMA actions ensured the timely delivery of
critical item while verifying the quality of the
product provided to the War Fighter
