  attribute a long list of negative characteristics
  to young people

• Easily misled because they are thought to be
  intellectually underdeveloped.

• Drug use has permeated our culture for over 40
  years. It has been linked to disease, crimes and
  gang violence. Drugs have also been linked to
  medical and scientific advances. Drug use has
  molded American culture throughout these years,
  to the point where decades are linked with the
  drugs which defined them marijuana in the
  sixties, LSD in the seventies and cocaine in the
  eighties
