Why Transformational Coaching?
  • Transformational coaching is a way of bringing
    about change for the purpose of helping
    individuals lead a more meaningful life -
    whatever that means for them.
  • A transformational coach is able to do this
    because they are in touch with their own passion,
    intent and inner wisdom.
  • The transformational coach collaborates with his
    or her coachee in a highly interactive
    partnership for the purpose of reaching personal
    goals and objectives.
  • The coach acts as a change agent, sounding board
    and strategic-thinker or partner as he or she
    facilitates a structured and safe learning
    environment for individual development through
    processes, such as clarifying personal values,
    setting purposeful goals, changing unwanted
    patterns of thought and behaviour, creating a
    more meaningful life.
  • Transformational coaching is not mentoring, and
    it is not about giving advice
  • Research shows that transformational coaches
  • Create a neutral space that is non judgemental.
  • Demonstrate outstanding rapport skills.

and experiments by Richard Bandler and John
Grinder in their search to find the patterns in
human behavior and thought which allow some
people to get great results in their chosen
goals. Through a pioneering hands on approach
to their project, careful observation and with
access to some of the most rigorous patterning
tools of their time they began to come up with
some amazing answers.People who are successful
tend to share certain kinds of mental outlooks
and bring flexibility and creativity into their
choices of action, they use key skills and models
of the world in integrated and sensitive ways.

    awareness awareness of our own thoughts and
    feelings, and how these affect our actions as a
    coach. For this reason this is the last module
    in the series and cannot be taken before the
    others.

    and values, we can better understand how to draw
    that out of others. At the highest level, being a
    transformational coach means letting of our sense
    of self, our beliefs and values in order to
