Strong owners

• Ångpanneföreningens Foundation for Research and
  Development was formed in 1985 and owns 25 of
  the capital and 48 of the votes in ÅF.
  The Foundation strives to promote technical
  development, safety, quality, good external and
  internal environment, and the economical use of
  energy in industrial installations and other
  plants. The Foundations major asset consists
  of shares in AB Ångpanneföreningen. The Board
  includes Board Members appointed by such
  institutions as the Royal Swedish Academy of
  Engineering Sciences (IVA), the Swedish Forest
  Industries Federation and Swedenergy.

• Constructing a railway depot without
  inconveniencing traffic or passengers during the
  entire construction period is just about the most
  difficult thing one can do within railway
  construction. We had to move the traffic in
  stages within the constricted station area, and
  work with provisional platforms. The most
  important thing for us is that the consultants
  deliver on time throughout the various stages of
  the project, and prepare complete documentation
  in accordance with our requirements. Our
  buyers have made the assessment that ÅF has the
  ability to do this.
