Scare Fest
  • Donations of candy to help defray costs
    associated with our biggest fundraising event of
    the year.
  • Grads Drop candy off in Room 219 by 830 am
  • Deadline October 7 (Allows time for inventory)
  • Thank you for your help.

Coffee House Chaperones
  • 2 per Coffee House. Alex Donovan will contact
    you once we have chosen our dates. 1st Coffee
    House is Monday, October 19.
  • We are looking for entertainers from outside the
    student body. Let us know if you can help.
  • THESE ARE HELD APPROXIMATELY ONCE A MONTH.

Fashion Show February 16
  • We need 5 parents to assist backstage with
    coordination of outfits and to keep things under
    control.
  • Parents need to remind their grad about the
    acquisition of outfits by deadline date

Fundraising BreakfastNovember 15Hampton Bible
Camp
  • Coordinator ?
  • Needed Parents to oversee various sub-committees
    such as publicity, ticket sales, donations, 50/50
    draw, food prep, cooking, serving, clean up.

New Fundraisers
  • Twice a year, we sell Sea Dogs Tickets for a home
    game. Provided free of charge to us by Help for
    Taxes.
  • Every Friday, we are selling popcorn for 1 per
    bag in the school lobby. The first 1000 raised
    will pay for the purchase of the machine.

Interfaith Baccalaureate Service June 20
  • 1 or 2 parents to oversee this committee and act
    as liaison with the school coordinator and with
    the clergy involved in the service.
  • Parent volunteers to assist with the reception
    and floral arrangements for the service.
  • Location of this service to be determined later
    in the year.

Graduation Ribbon Committee
  • A person needed to coordinate the parent
    volunteers.
  • Volunteers needed to make the ribbons.
  • This can be done at any time during the year as
    long as it is completed by mid-May.

    involves last-minute decorating (balloons,
    flowers etc.) Tuesday is

  • Parent(s) needed to coordinate the volunteers.
    Many hands make light work.
  • Donations of snacks for Prom Ex chips, dips,
    cheese and crackers, etc.

Prom Chaperones June 21 Safe Grad Chaperones
June 24-25
  • Prom 5 Parents to Chaperone for various shifts.
  • One parent volunteer to contact parents willing
    to chaperone.
  • Safe Grad 5 Parent Chaperones for the night.
    This is an overnight activity but lots of fun!

Post-Safe Grad Breakfast - Early Morning, Friday,
June 25
  • Parent Coordinator
  • Parent Volunteers for food prep, serving,
    clean-up
  • Students then go home tired, full and happy
  • We then wave good-bye to the little darlings,
    and we tell them to have a great summer, to keep
    safe, and to go forth and prosper! Oh yes, keep
    in touch!

Yearbook Items to Note
  • HHS website will have comprehensive yearbook info
    page set up by end of September (grad deadlines,
    yearbook orders, grad photos, etc.)
  • Parents able to order yearbooks online There
    will be a link to Jostens site. Early-bird
    yearbook special Order and paid in full by end
    of November gets name stamping free. Cost of
    yearbook is 45 without name stamping 50 with
    name stamping or 45 early bird price.
  • Photos not taken by Oak Tree Please have your
    child check on background colour with Yearbook
    Editor, Jamie Coleman or Faculty Advisor, Mrs.
    Fry. If it is noticeably different, Oak Tree may
    be required to take a proof specifically for the
    composite that is hung permanently in the school.
    It is the students responsibility to get a photo
    to Oak Tree for the composite and also to Mrs.
    Fry for the yearbook. Oak Tree is the HHS
    Official Grad Photographer.

GRAD FEES
  • FEE 100.00
  • COLLECTION DATES
  • NOVEMBER 16-27 SCHOOL LOBBY AT NOON
  • CASH OR CHEQUES PAYABLE TO HAMPTON HIGH SCHOOL
  • Approx. 25,000-27,000 is needed to cover our
    yearly expenses. This comes from Grad Fees and
    fundraising throughout the year.

Legacy
  • Each year, Grads leave a gift to the school and
    invest in things that will help the next years
    class
  • 2008 Donation of the Grad Class Bulletin Board
  • 2009 Donation of 1000 to defray costs with
    replacing the theatre floor
  • 2009 Purchase of a new popcorn machine 1000 to
    replace the one purchased in 1992
