experience, sponsorship, and adherence to the
Code of Ethics - University and college programs accredited by
CIPS Accreditation Councils are used as

- Re-certify every year, after initial 3 years
- I.S.P. holder responsible for re-certification

professional capabilities of over 500 IT workers
in Canada.
In 2001, CIPS New Brunswick became the fourth
province to recognize the I.S.P. through
provincial legislation.

designation for IT workers.
