    experience, sponsorship, and adherence to the
    Code of Ethics
  • University and college programs accredited by
    CIPS Accreditation Councils are used as

Becoming an I.S.P. depends on your level of
education, whether or not the institute you
attended was CIPS accredited, and your years of
experience.

professional capabilities of over 500 IT workers
in Canada.
In 2001, CIPS New Brunswick became the fourth
province to recognize the I.S.P. through
provincial legislation.
CIPS is the only organization to successfully
develop a government-recognized professional
designation for IT workers.
