  citizenship and an essential ingredient to active
  community life throughout West Sussex

• Any activity which benefits a community or
  individuals, undertaken freely and by choice,
  without concern for personal gain
• Many of us do it
• But dont always recognise that we are
• VOLUNTEERING - in West Sussex
• Is available for everyone
• Important
• Valuedand makes a real difference

West Sussex PSA Target 10

• Between 2003 and 2006-
• 10 increase in formal and informal volunteering
  by people aged 16 and over
• 10 increase in formal and informal volunteering
  by people aged under 16
• 10 increase in people very satisfied as
  recipient of services provided by volunteers
• 100 extra volunteers completing accredited
  training in academic year 2005/06
