Pray for the people

• for the thousands who are grieving loved ones
• for the hundreds of thousands without food,
  water and shelter

Pray for the relief effort

• that our partners, working through churches, will
  swiftly receive all the resources and supplies
  they need
• that the network of local churches will be able
  to reach those who need help most
• that the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal, of
  which Tearfund is a part, will raise the funds
  needed to restore and rebuild the devastated areas

Pray for the government of Myanmar (Burma)

• that they would be open to receiving
  international help
• that they would enable aid to get through to the
  remote areas
• that this would be the beginning of improved
  relations with the international community

• for healing and peace for those traumatised and
  wounded
• for strength and courage for the church as they
  risk retribution for their peace-making work
