LOs initial specifications

• Text
• The text should be not formatted. The J2ME
  application have another formats for the text, so
  it will not understand your text format. The
  recomandation is to put the text into a simple
  .txt file. Practically the mechanism of sending
  data permits that the text files to be without a
  size restriction.
• Audio
• The audio files compatible with the J2ME
  applications are the WAV file. This must be in
  the standard format proposed by Microsoft. The
  best way to create them is using Sound Recorder
  from Windows Operating Systems. Practically the
  mechanism of sending data permits that the audio
  files to be without a size restiction.
• Image
• The images files compatible with the J2ME
  applications are the png files. The dimension of
  the images should be not more than 100x100
  pixels. The image should have maximum 4096 colors
  (for being compatible with as many phones as
  posible).

LOs initial specifications

• Video
• The video files should be in mpeg format
  (mpg/mpeg extension). The video file that can be
  downloaded on a mobile should have the size less
  then the disponible memory of the mobile phone.
  This aspect depends from one mobile phone to
  another.
• The dimension of the frame of the video file
  should be not more than 100x100 pixels. The
  maximum dimension of a video file is 300 kb (less
  than one minute of video).
• The video should have maximum 4096 colors (for
  being compatible with as many mobile phones as
  posible).
• Other specifications
• The files must be organized into directories
  accordingly to the LOs and the type of files
  (text files into a directory, audio files into
  another directory, etc.).
• The course must offer a logical and user friendly
  succession of the files (could be any combination
  of different types of files), established by the
  author this sequence of the files will be stored
  into the database.

• Compatible mobile phones
• The newest mobile phones which are designed
  and produced nowadays into their configuration
  meet this requirements.

  into the Learning Object.

• Include all video files (in MPEG format) that
  appear into the Learning Object.

  contains the structure of the entire LO.
