What is SuperSearch?
  • A tool that gives access to electronic resources
    journal articles, data, information
  • One single interface to search, retrieve and view
    results for your research
  • SuperSearch can be accessed via the Library
    homepage or your Student portal wherever you have
    internet access

  • Multi Database Search (live, simultaneous
    searching across several databases returning
    results in a single format)

  • My Marked Records save, email and export records
  • My Databases create your own lists of databases
    to search
  • My e-Journals bookmark your favourites
  • My Searches and Alerts view search histories and
    create alerts
  • Preferences customise settings and views

My Marked Records
  • Click on tab
  • Select My Marked Records
  • To save results to a folder, click on save as
  • Name the folder, eg., forecast records will
    be added to this folder
  • Reselect Basket and clear the records by
    clicking on the Delete button

My Databases
  • Databases can be added to the My Database list
  • from Resource Sets OR Subject Sets OR Find
    database
  • Click on to add to My databases
  • Select tab
  • Select My databases to view list
  • Click on to create a folder.
  • Name folder, eg., History Roman and Save
  • Click on arrow to add databases to New
    Folder

Search Alerts
  • Create a Search Alert
  • Go to and select Previous
    Searches
  • Click to add to My Searches and Alerts
  • Go to and click on My Searches and
    Alerts
  • Click on icon to set up details of your
    alert
  • A pencil icon will appear when completed
  • Alerts can be edited or deleted once submitted
