  • Since 1996, IWF has dealt with more than 200,000
    reports
  • 12 years experience tracking, understanding
    website behaviours
  • 1 in 20 UK adult internet users or 1.5 million
    people
  • stumble across indecent images of children
  • 2008 data reveals continuing severe and
    commercial images
  • 9 decrease in the number of domains confirmed to
    contain indecent images of children (1500)
  • 58 of child sexual abuse domains traced contain
    graphic images involving penetration or sexual
    torture
  • 69 of the children appear to be 10 years old or
    younger 24 6 or under, and 4 2 or under
  • 74 of child sexual abuse domains traced are
    commercial
  • It is rare to trace child sexual abuse content to
    hosts in the UK
