Identity and Access Management

• What is the intent ?
• Replace the in-house ePASS1 system with a robust
  commercial off the shelf product
• Develop a strategic roadmap for the management of
  identities in the NTG
• What are the objectives ?
• Provide a single source of truth for managing
  identities, access and authentication to
  government services
• Current Status
• ePASS2 is in the final stages of project

  Enterprise Architecture process

WOG ICT Enterprise Architecture

• What is the intent ?
• Provide a framework to guide agencies and service
  providers in the development and management of
  current ICT systems and emerging technologies
• What are the objectives ?
• A revised, published and endorsed NTG EA exists,
  which in turn promotes a consistent NTG ICT
  environment aligned to the NTG vision for the
  effective delivery of services
• Current Status
• Framework adopted and Governance model now in
  place. Current state being captured, future
  states determined for messaging, collaboration,
  WCM and Desktop environment.

• A clearly stated strategic vision for ICT within
  the Northern Territory Government for 2012
• What are the objectives ?
• To provide a vision for ICT enabled service
  innovation which guides the prioritisation of ICT
  investments to meet business needs for the NTG
• Current Status
• Statement of Strategic Intent to 2010 issued with
  the NTG Desktop Outsourcing Tender in 2005
• Updated statement of Strategic Intent in planning
  stages

Converged Communications Strategy

• What is the intent ?
• Guide the future direction of technology within
  the NTG to leverage the availability of
  interoperable and standardised communication
  tools
• What are the objectives ?
• To ensure voice, desktop, mobile and like
  solutions integrate to provide easy, faster and
  smarter productivity tools within the NTG
• Current Status
• Voice strategy under development
• Directories project underway
• Vista/Office 2007 future technologies pilot

• The integration of document and record keeping
  standards into existing business processes to
  meet legislative and effective information
  management requirements

• To provide a clear approach to the storage,

  documents and records within the NTG

• Strategy for the upgrade of EDM infrastructure
  and software under development
