SSS is characterized by the following reading
behaviors.

• Student prefers to read in a darker area of the
  classroom or near a window.
• Student complains of headaches or stomach
  problems when reading.
• Student skips lines when reading.
• Student avoids reading tasks.
• Students oral reading is labored and choppy.
