Productivity Reports

• Outpatient Productivity
• Generated in the Audit Compliance Module (ACM)
  the outpatient productivity report is run in the
  PCE Compliance Module
• Inpatient Productivity
• Generated in VIP Director the inpatient
  productivity report is run in Report Builder

Audit Compliance Module (ACM)

• Click on PCE Compliance Module
• Select Last Date Coded Date Range (we run by Pay
  Period in VISN 2)
• Select Status Filters
• Select all Coders or specific Coders (we select
  all Coders in VISN 2)
• Select all Divisions or specific Divisions (we
  select all Divisions in VISN 2)
• Right mouse click in the report and select
  Retrieve CCM Cases

VIP Report Builder

• Click on Standard Reports and then on the Report
  Builder icon.
• Select Last Date Coded Date Range (we run by Pay
  Period in VISN 2).
• Select Status Filters.
• Select all Coders or specific Coders (we select
  all Coders in VISN 2).
• Select all Divisions or specific Divisions (we
  select all Divisions in VISN 2).
• Right mouse click in the report and select
  retrieve PTF cases.

Productivity Process

• All reports are dropped to Excel
• Inpatient Reports
• Reports are sorted and subtotaled by coder (VIP
  Coder Column)
• The Profee Code Column is used to populate the
  number of records coded with inpatient profees
• Outpatient Reports
• Reports are sorted and subtotaled by coder (CCM
  Coder Column)
• Clinic name is used to identify Ambulatory
  Surgery encounters (Location Column)
• Hours Worked Report is obtained from Payroll each
  pay period
• Productivity formula is based on the actual
  number of hours worked and the number and type of
  records coded
• National Productivity standards are used to
  identify the number of records to be coded per
  hour

• Within ACM the Suspended Encounters Report is run
  in the PCE Compliance Module
• Select Last Date Coded Date Range (we run monthly

• Select all Coders or specific Coders (we select
  all Coders in VISN 2)
• Select all Divisions or specific Divisions (we
  select all Divisions in VISN 2)

• Generated in the Audit Compliance Module (ACM)
• Within ACM the EM Reason for Change Report is
  generated under the Specialized Reports
• Select all Providers or specific Providers (we
  select all Providers in VISN 2)
• Select all Divisions or specific Divisions (we
  select all Divisions in VISN 2)
• Select Reason for Change/Type of Change (we use
  the default settings in VISN 2)
• Right mouse click in the report and select View

EM Reason for Change Report

• This report will display all EM codes by
  provider that were altered within the Coding
  Compliance Module (CCM).
• Coders select the reason for change in CCM.
• EM report is run monthly within VISN 2.
• All encounters not coded by a provider are purged
  from the report.
• Report is used to trend documentation and coding
  practices of providers.
• Providers are defined as Nurse Practitioners,
  Physician Assistants and Attending Physicians.
• Providers with less than a 95 accuracy rate are
  targeted for education.
• Within VISN 2 education is focused on providers
  with cumulative visits of 25-40 and visits for
  the month of 20 or more.
