• In parallel with academic support offered by
  TUBITAK, the goal is to provide nationwide access
  to essential information resources needed by all
  academic institutions in Turkey for education,
  research, and scientific activities.
• To support scientific development in Turkey by
  creating equal access to scientific resources.

• Five members from the Universities
• Two military schools members
• One police academy member
• Two TUBITAK members
• Two members of the Ministry of Health Training
  and Research Hospitals

• Prior to TUBITAK EKUAL
• Libraries were able to subscribe to information
  sources within the
• limit of their own budgets through negotiations
  made by ANKOS
• (Anatolian University Libraries Consortium).
  Consortia
• membership was limited to their own capability.
• After TUBITAK EKUAL
• Essential information sources are being
  subscribed to in the name of all
• academic institutions and paid for by
  TUBITAK-ULAKBIM. This enables
• the negotiation of more advantageous pricing and
  benefits.
