The Digital Reading Room (DRR) Model

• An interactive online reading room which provides
  faculty and student access to a wide variety of
  learning resources and course materials through
  the World Wide Web
• The DRR model provides a digital solution to
  handle electronic course reserves at AU

• ADLIB Athabasca Digital Library in a Box
• It is not only an e-course reserves tool but also
  a metadata/learning objects repository content
  management tool

• Many AU Learning Management Systems have used the
  DRR to support and enhance their online course
  development
• The DRR model has either met or exceeded IMS
  Digital Repositories Interoperability OKI

• Mechanism to ensure validity and currency of the
