  • Treatment, support and care will address the
    needs of the whole person in a value-based and
    recovery-focussed way
  • Services will be delivered in the community where
    appropriate, and that we should seek effective
    and least restrictive alternatives to hospital
    admission wherever possible
  • Treatment, support and care should be available
    to people at the level they require and when they
    need it
  • Treatment, support and care should be in line
    with national standards of quality and
    effectiveness
  • All staff who provide treatment, support and care
    should be supported to develop the services
    proposed in the model of care
  • There will be increased availability and access
    to psychological and self-help interventions
  • We will provide services through a multi-agency
    network of health, local authority, employment
    and independent sector services. The emphasis
    will be to adopt a strength-based approach to
    support people through the crisis.
