On two-step equations the goal is still to get
the variable by itself. To do this we need to
Step 1 Distributive property. Step 2 Gather
like terms. Step 3 Reverse adding and
subtracting first to get all numbers to one side
and variables to the other. Step 4 Now we can
reverse any multiplication and division.
