  • sthita-dhéù kià prabhäñeta
  • kim äséta vrajeta kim
  • Arjuna said O Kåñëa, what are the symptoms of
    one whose consciousness is thus merged in
    transcendence? How does he speak, and what is his
    language? How does he sit, and how does he walk?

  • How does he sit?
  • These are very intelligent questions.

  • çré-bhagavän uväca
  • prajahäti yadä kämän
  • sarvän pärtha mano-gatän
  • ätmany evätmanä tuñöaù
  • sthita-prajïas tadocyate
  • The Blessed Lord said O Pärtha, when a man
    gives up all varieties of sense desire which
    arise from mental concoction, and when his mind
    finds satisfaction in the self alone, then he is
    said to be in pure transcendental consciousness.

Krsna begins describing the symptoms of self
realized soul.
  • One who has given up all the desires of sense
    gratification.
  • Creation of polluted mind Sense Gratification.
  • E.g. enjoying food or sex pleasure.
  • Satisfied within.
  • Search of happiness outside
  • Real happiness within.
  • Realizing ones constitutional position in
    relation to Supreme Lord brings complete
    satisfaction.

duùkheñv anudvigna-manäù sukheñu
vigata-spåhaù véta-räga-bhaya-krodhaù sthita-dhér
munir ucyate One who is not disturbed in spite of
the threefold miseries, who is not elated when
there is happiness, and who is free from
attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of
steady mind.

    Muni?
  • Upon meeting good/evil doesnt praise or despise,
    but remains equiposed fixed in transcendental
