  • Your school board is considering banning the sale
    of soft drinks in schools. You have been asked
    to prepare a presentation for the board outlining
    the perspective and opinion of the students in
    your school on this decision as well as giving
    your personal recommendation.

  • Your presentation to the board will consist of
    two parts
  • the results of your student survey
  • your personal recommendation to the board

Getting started
  • Using web based resources you will investigate
    the case for and against banning the sale of soft
    drinks in schools.
  • You will present this information to the students
    in your school - you may choose to use a
    newsletter format or you may use a power point
    presentation.

  • You will prepare a ballot and have a student
    referendum.
  • The results of the vote will be presented to the
    next school board meeting along with your
    personal recommendation based on your research.
