  and meaningful input to L2 learners.

  writing, communication, research and many other
  tools to literacy.

  synchronous computer-mediated communication
  allows for interaction.
• Vitality Using the Internet helps to eliminate
  boring memorization of grammar rules or
  uninteresting reading.

  learning. With a little guidance, students can

A few parting tips

• Allowing learners to use the Internet can be like
  allowing them to use the television. There are
  some activities that are more educational than
  others.
• Some supervision is needed. Learners need to be
  guided to some of the more helpful sites.
• Dont rule out non-ESL pages. Some can be very
  useful.
