Initialization and Finalization (pp. 19, 75)
  • Initialization is required to record images
  • Finalization must be done before images can be
    viewed on a CD-ROM drive
  • Finalization uses approximately 13 mb
  • New images can be recorded on a finalized disc
  • CD-RWs may be reformatted and used again

Initialize a Disc (p. 19)
  • Mode dial on
  • Initialize -- Place on level surface appears
  • Use control button to select OK
  • Do not disturb camera while initializing
  • See flowchart on page 8 for initialization and
    finalization process

  • Press Image Size/Delete button (trash can)
  • Select desired size with control button
  • The larger the image size and finer the quality,
    the fewer images can be recorded. (pg. 21)

  • Open CD-ROM drive
  • Double-click DCIM, then folder 101MSDCF
  • Select images and drag to a folder on harddrive
  • Double-click desired image to open
