- Commanding Officer

- By emphasizing the link between mission readiness
and proactive, self-sufficient families - By ensuring the members of the KVN receive
appropriate, timely training - Educate appointed KVs on the COs intent for the
KVN and reemphasize that the KVN has NO ROLE in
casualty notifications. - By encouraging spouses to attend a L.I.N.K.S.
session

- The FRO listens to the COs intent and
articulates the COs goals for the program,
including - Commanders vision for family readiness
- Information about the units mission
- How to link unit members, family members, MCCS,
and community resources

various aspects of the Family Readiness program. - Brief the unit commander
- Ensure the COs directives are current
- Discuss the Family Readiness budget and the COs
funding priorities - Meet with MCFTB to establish a relationship and
to schedule a MCFTB brief for the CO
