THE FA STEP INTO SPORT PROGRAMME

• What is it?
• The FA Step into Sport Programme(SIS) aims to
  provide a simple framework of coordinated
  opportunities to increase the potential for
  young people (aged 14-19) to participate in
  volunteering and leadership
• The National Programme requires volunteers to
  commit to 10 hours of volunteering within a
  Charter Standard Club or Focus School and log
  these hours via an online passport system.
• From an initial 10 hours of volunteering the
  Young Leader could commit to a further 25 and 50
  hours of volunteering within a football setting
  for which they will be rewarded by The FA and the
  County FA.

THE PROGRAMME IN PRACTICE

• FA Step into Sport Programme
• Recruitment and Identification of Students
• (JSLA, CSLA, JFO or other leadership award)
• Volunteer Hours in a Charter Standard
  Club/Organisation
• (Agreed placement with qualified mentor)
• Complete 10, 25 or 50 hours
• (Record hours via online passport)
• Develop as a Young Leader
