Employer Direct on Line (EDON)
Enables employer to manage their own vacancies
  • Able to place vacancies at any time - 24/7
  • Employers can take all the action on vacancies
    themselves
  • If theyve done it themselves, they know its
    been done
  • Employers can use their own words for vacancy
  • Help desk available for setting up and
    maintenance
  • Need certain level of IT
  • Time consuming for employer on initial set up
    (able to copy afterwards)

Disability Services
  • Support for employers in the adoption of good
    employment practices in the recruitment and
    retention of people with disabilities rarely
    involves large alterations to employer premises

Work Trials
  • Candidates are volunteers.
  • Employer can take candidates on an unpaid basis
    for up to 15 days. This period can be used to
    ascertain if the job is right for the person and
    the person is right for the job.
  • Candidates travel expenses and meal allowances
    are paid by Jobcentre Plus.
  • Progress is monitored by dedicated personal
    advisers.
  • There is no cost to the employer.
  • Employer makes final decision whether to employ
    individual.

New Deal (18 24yrs 25)
  • Help customers back into work, through training,
    support and financial assistance.
  • Employers can receive 60 to 75 per week as a
    subsidy.
  • The subsidy is paid for up to 26 weeks.
  • Up to 750 available towards the cost of training
    (18-24 yrs).

A new Deal Agreement/ HS Questionnaire must be
completed before person starts employment

Account Management
  • Senior Account Managers (SAM) At national level
    where employer is likely to recruit 1000
    employees each year (eg NHS, LAs).
  • Field Account Managers (FAMs) face to face
    contact when employer likely to recruit 100
    employees each year or new build where over 35 to
    be employed.
  • Telephone Account Managers (TAM) Account manage
    employers who are likely to recruit between
    approximately 16 99 employees each year.
  • (NB SAM, FAM TAM are managed by National Sales
    Team)
  • Vacancy Service Managers (VSM) deal with
    employers on a daily basis who employ less than
    16 employees each year.

  • Able to provide local, National International
    distribution of vacancies.
  • Benefits are
  • Wider audience for all vacancies.
  • Using EURES is more effective than using website
    display alone
  • Dedicated EURES adviser can support employer.
