Main Idea

• Esperanzas mom agreed to marry Tio Luis.
• Esperanza and her mom are going to run away from
  Tio Luis.
• Tio Luis burned down Esperanzas house when he
  found out she was running away.
• Esperanza and her mom got on a train to go to
  California.
• They met their cousins at the entry.
• Esperanzas mom was sick but she got better.

• Esperanza and her mom got on a train and left.
• They arrived at the train station. They saw their
  cousins at the stop and they said Welcome.
• They got on a truck and left to go to their
  house.
• They separated the Mexicans from the Americans.
• When they got to the cabin where they were
  living, Esperanza had to take care of the house
  and babies.
• Her mom got sick and she took her to the
  hospital.
• Her mom got better.

• To always get away from the people that you dont

• Sometimes you need to stop taking advantage of
