5Why the new changes and alignment?
The alignment Version 1.0 - 1.01 represents the
results of discussions by the Centers for
Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations (JCAHO). The reason for the
alignment are
- To achieve alignment of common national
performance measures - To share one set of documents
- To minimize data collection efforts for these
common measures - To focus efforts on the use of data to improve
the health care delivery process

National Hospital Quality Measures - The initiative name National Voluntary Hospital
