Welcome to CB United F.C.
  • Were glad youve taken the time to check us out!
CB United Football Club is the Columbia Basins
    place for Recreational, Competitive and
Premier youth soccer for kids ages 12-19.
  • With the Columbia Basins rich cultural
diversity, soccer is alive and thriving right
here in our back yard! CB Uniteds vision is
that every level of soccer interest would be
    served.
  • So if youre a footballer
  • or think you might want to be,
  • youve come to the right place!

Whats Next?
  • Many of you may be finding yourselves at a fork
in the road and are looking for some direction.
You have completed your U11 season with your
local Club (Moses Lake Youth Soccer, Ephrata
Youth Soccer, Quincy, Othello, Warden, etc.) and
you would like to continue but dont know where
    to go.

4
Youve come to the right place!
But heads-up cause theres been some changes!
But Now . . .
In the past . . .
  • In the past, our Columbia Basin Youth Soccer
Association has asked the local clubs to handle
the older age groups U12-U19. But for many of
our smaller clubs, fielding teams of 15-18 kids
in an age group has been difficult, if not
impossible as more and more activities compete
for their attention. As kids get older, Many
kids have had to make the decision to hang up
their cleats early because of a lack of
participation. At the same time, a number of our
very talented kids, or kids who have chosen
soccer as their sport and who are looking to
develop their skills, have had to leave the area
in search of high level coaching and competition.
  • In 2006, the Columbia Basin Youth Soccer
Association (CBYSA) an affiliate of Washington
State Youth Soccer Association, formed CB United
F.C. to provide soccer for the older age groups
(U12-U19). The concept was that each of the
local youth soccer clubs would be able to feed
their older age groups into a larger pool, giving
more kids the opportunity to continue playing
soccer. It has been the vision of CBYSA that by
combining our Club forces, CB United would be
able to provide both recreational, competitive
and premier teams right here in the Columbia
    Basin.

5
Isnt CB United just for the good players?
Washington State Youth Soccer Organizational
Structure (simplified)
The Answer NO CB United is nothing more than
another Club that is under the Umbrella of CBYSA.
CB United manages all teams who no longer play
their games only within the CBYSA, but who now
must expand in the broader District 6. It is the
vision of CB United that there will ultimately be
teams at each age level who will compete at the
Recreational Level, the Competitive Level as well
as the Premier Level.
6
We dont want to participate with CB United
because we dont want to travel. Are there any
options for us?
  • Unfortunately the answer is also NO. At the
younger ages, the teams are small enough that we
are able to form enough teams within our own
CBYSA that we can keep all our games close to
home. That all changes at U12 because the teams
all move to 18 players on a roster. This reduces
the number of local teams to usually 2 or less
and to maintain any meaningful competition the
area must be expanded to include enough teams for
a league. The league that is formed In the
broader region is call the IAL, or the
    Inter-Association League.
  • The IAL covers all of District 6 and at times
has included teams from Eastern Idaho and
Northeastern Oregon. Most of the away games are
played in Spokane, Yakima, and Tri-Cities

until rosters are filled, and are prohibited from
recruiting. All players are guaranteed to play
    50 of each match.
