Chemical Storage Areas
  • Chemicals are located in the wood shop, art room,
    science rooms, and ag shop
  • The areas surrounding the storage areas are in
    good condition
  • The chemicals are stored on shelves and in
    cabinets

  • In the back of the gym there are three dumpsters.
    One is for boxes and two are for garbage.
  • We did not observe exposed soil around the
    dumpsters

Active Wells
  • Our school contains one active well that provides
    drinking water to 400 people through the entire
    year
  • The well was installed in 1960 and gets sampled
    every 3 months for the NJDEP

Garbage on school grounds
  • While we were inspecting the school we noticed
    that behind the sports fields in the woods there
    was a lot of garbage lying around.

Electrical Transformers
  • One Electrical Transformer is located outside of
    the Ag Shop.
  • We did not notice any discharge from the
    electrical Transformer.

Conclusions/Recommendations
  • Repair air compressor in Ag shop to prevent
    further oil discharge
  • Clean up garbage on school grounds and stop
    further dumping of trash.
