When compared to flat-sided rotors, our cam
shaped rotor better controls the volume of mass
entering the grinding chamber, ensuring a
consistent and steady flow of processed material.
This spacing is fairly even throughout due to the
cylindrical shape of the rotor.
Due to the flat sides, large amounts of material
can enter the grinding chamber, making this type
of rotor susceptible to feed surges.

The RocWear Striker bit system was designed to
maximize its wear life while reducing the
maintenance time required to change the bits.
The bits are cast from a proprietary
Chromium-Tungsten alloy formulated for both
abrasion resistance and durability.
Each long lasting bit has a dual edge which
doubles the already exceptional life of each
RocWear bit.
The retaining hex head bolts are recessed into
the bit to protect them from wear.

• Save up to 60 off the price of a whole grate
  assembly by only replacing the liner.
• Sturdy grate frame should never need
  replacement.
• One inch thick liner is made from 400 Brinell
  material ensuring a long wear life.
• One inch thick backing plate is made from mild
  steel adding both high strength and impact
  resistance.

To raise the uppercase, simply unfasten one bolt
on both sides of the hog and raise hydraulically.

The safety arm locks the uppercase in the open
position for safe maintenance of the wear parts.

A proximity sensor stops the drive when the anvil
shear pins are sheared.
