Cranial nerve palsy is significant neurological
complication for the Patient
  • Loss of normal speech recurrent laryngeal nerve

  • paralysis of vocal cord
  • 2. Loss of normal swallowing IX. and X. nerve
  • 3. Tongue deviation impaired speech and
    swallowing

Can be transitory or permanent.
