Terminology - Prior Sessions
  • Console - The interface of Accela Automation,
including the control panel, primary tabs,
portlets, and all the information that the user
is allowed/wants to see upon login. A Console is
the Unique User Configuration that defines the
Pages and Portlets to accomplish as specific
Business Need for a given Department, Profile, or
    User.
  • Page - A Page is defined as the specific tab that
has predefined number of Portlets in a specific
layout on the screen. It is generally used
    synonymously with a console layout.
  • Portlet - The basic building block of Accela
Automation. A portlet is what displays in a
primary tab. There are two primary types of
portlets List and Form portlets. A Portlet
provides a Specific Business Function that allows
the user to Create New Caps, Schedule
Inspections, Manage Address, Parcels, or Owners.
Portlets also divide primary tabs into smaller
functional areas and act as containers, or
frames, for certain operations, files, or links.

6
Terminology - New to This Session

portlets which allows administrators and end

  • Global QuickQueries Quick Queries defined and
    distributed to users by Administrator.
