GoldSim Model Exercise

• Objective
• To actively participate in a model-building
  exercise in small teams
• To have fun!
• How?
• We will break into groups of about 5 now
• After lunch, the teams will have a little over 1
  hour to discuss and build the model from scratch
• We will then discuss and present some of the
  teams models (and have people share observations
  on the model-building process)
• Teams may want to sit together at lunch and start
  to discuss the problem
• PLEASE do not start actual programming until we
  tell you to

The Exercise

• In Part I, You will create a simple predator-prey
  model involving
• In Part II, you will figure out (thru simulation)
  how to manage the populations so they become
  stable.
• Good news Group leaders are experts on the
