Gynecologist
Pharmacy- services available to fill
prescriptions from your doctor at home as well as
from the Health Center. Also, great prices for
over- the-counter items such as aspirin, cold
medicines and allergy medicines.
3Services
- Dental- check-ups, x-rays, cleaning and
referrals. We do NOT repair cavities, root canals
or braces.
Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine- Students can
see us for treatment of orthopedic and sports
related conditions, expert advice and prevention
of further problems.
4Services
X- RAY -services on-site. No need to go elsewhere
to determine the extent of injuries.
Lab- full service lab on-site to take care of
diagnostic lab needs, including HIV testing.

Nurse Specialty Clinic Provides specialty
services including nursing management of
allergies and asthma. Immunizations including
measles, mumps, hepatitis A and B, tetanus, HPV,
meningitis, and all immunizations for travel
abroad are available.

- Two term internship/class through the UO
Health Center and Family and Human Services
Dept. Small seminar style class with 12
students admitted each term after going through
an application and interview process.Class
topics include Nutrition, Sexual Health, Stress,
Relationship Communication, Poverty, Health Care,
Obesity and Environmental concerns.Must be at

10Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
SHAC students on SHAC have a strong voice in
determining the health fee, Health Center budget,
services, and the health insurance plan through
their recommendations to the Health Center
Director.
11Students for a Smoke Free Campus (SSC)
- The Students for a Smoke-Free Campus have made it
their mission to eliminate exposure to secondhand
smoke by working to create a smoke-free policy on
the University of Oregon main campus. - Because . . . We all have the right to breathe
clean, safe, smoke-free air - Because . . . Secondhand smoke kills
U.S. Surgeon General (2006) there is no
risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke.

- Family Planning Expansion Project (FPEP). Free
birth control supplies if qualify. - Allergies, Asthma, Eating Disorder Diabetes-
Treatment and prevention teams are available. - Students Self-Care Guide- Available on the
Health Centers website. - Classes- Meditation/Relaxation and Diabetes
management. - Stress Reduction- Energy Healing and Massage
13Other Important Information
- All students must have proof of immunity to
measles and mumps. - All students pay a health fee as a part of their
tuition and fees which makes them eligible for
all Health Center services. - The Health Center charges for most services.
Charges are generally much lower than those in
the community.
14Insurance
- Registered students do not have to be on
- a UO Health Insurance Plan or any other
- insurance plan to use the health center.
- UO Health Center does NOT bill outside
- health insurance companies.
- The student must talk with their insurance
- company to see if they will reimburse
- charges from the Health Center.
- The student MUST ASK for an itemized
- bill that they will send to their insurance
- company for reimbursement.
- UO Health Center does have an insurance plan
