Bus drivers must inspect their vehicles daily,
before starting their route. Its important to
perform the inspections safely to avoid a back
injury.
Incorrect

• Seat Inspection
• Support the body by holding onto the backrest
  or leaning onto another seat.
• Sit or lie down on the seat to lock them,
  if needed.

Correct

• Tire Flap Inspection
• Support the body by placing one hand down on
  the knee.

Correct

• Compartment Inspection
• Avoid bending and twisting at the waist!
  Remember to squarely face the door and use
  proper body mechanics to lift all compartment
  doors.
