argue that change is the most talked about and
least acted upon concept in education today.

  • A sense of hopelessness
  • A sense of exhaustion when confronted by problems
    and challenges that seem to be more difficult
    than in the past
  • Challenges are not responding to traditional
    medicine (approaches)
  • Cynicism as a result of reform efforts coming and
    going

The disease is based on the damaging belief that
all efforts at school reform are doomed.
