Bats Eat Bugs!
  • Big brown bats eat a ton of insects like gnats,
    mosquitoes or flies.
  • Big brown Bats use echolocation (where bats send
    sounds that bounce back) to find and chase
    insects.

Small Big Bats!
  • What's the size of a Big Brown Bat? A Big Brown
    Bats wings (tip to tip) are 30 to 33 cm. It's
    the size of a preschooler's arm. Big Brown Bat's
    wings are mostly black. The oldest Big Brown Bat
    was a male recorded at 19 years old.
  • The Bats wing is actually the bats hand with
    skin stretched between the fingers.

    pups stay in the nest with their mother. At three
