• The Process
• Classification is job evaluation or position
  measurement
• VT DHR responsible for job evaluation. DHR
  Classification Analysts work with classification
  committees in the various agencies
• Classification review results in proper
  assignment of jobs to title and pay grade
• Utilizes the Willis System - positions are
  assigned to salary ranges based on a scale of
  values against which job evaluations of
  individual positions are compared

• Four years experience roadway inventory
  evaluation, project or program planning, design
  management of computer databases including two
  years GIS and preferably ArcINFO
• Considerable knowledge of transportation
  logistics, GIS concepts and database design

  Statistics
• Bachelor Degree in geography, GIS, computer
  science, engineering, natural resources field
  Two years experience in GIS with ESRI knowledge
• OR-
• Masters Degree and one year experience in GIS
  with ESRI knowledge
• Primary responsibilities creation, maintenance
  and documentation of geo-spatial data, and user
  support and training.
