What is SYCOP? Overall Aim To investigate how
information from a variety of sources (public,
private and voluntary sectors) can be provided to
citizens via a number of access mechanisms (e.g.
kiosks, digital TV, Internet). The information
to be considered is based around the concept of
Key Life Events.

• The Programme Problems To Address
• Information / Service providers often work
  independently
• Confusion regarding the source of information /
  services (and what is available)
• Duplication and lack of consistency (format
  delivery)
• Under-utilisation of ICT opportunities
• Lack of choice in terms of methods of access to
  information / services (hence exclusion)

Although the Programme is primarily a trial /
pilot, methods of securing sustainable outcomes
will be sought.

• Developed a coordinated approach
• Engaged key partners in developing forward
  strategy
• Produced well-documented shared research
